Bedding & Toys
We are happy to accept familiar items such as bedding and toys, as these may help settle your pet into his new environment. However please bear in mind that a few pets may soil or chew items that they wouldn't normally do at home. Also our strict hygiene practices occasionally oblige us to throw away bedding you have brought in if it becomes heavily soiled. For this reason we cannot guarantee their safe return.
Vaccinations
Please make sure your dog or cat are fully vaccinated for their stay with us. We always ask to see the current vaccination certificates prior to boarding. There is a supplementary vaccination available for dogs against kennel cough , we strongly advice you to make sure your dog is given the vaccination at least 14 days before the boarding period. We require all dogs to have this vaccination. If you do not bring your certificates along with you we regret that a £5 administration fee will be charged for calls we will have to make to your vet.
Feeding
We try to keep your pets routine as close as possible to normal, but it is not possible for us to stock the complete range of branded products that are available. We can normally cater for any diet, but if your pet requires special food, we recommend that you bring it along with you.
Exercise
We have several large paddocks to provide our boarding dogs with exercise and with the owner's permission, sociable dogs can be exercised together. Dogs in kennels don't generally need as much exercise as at home as there is always something going on to keep them alert. Never the less, we still aim to give every dog a suitable amount of exercise and stimulation every day.
Behaviour in Kennels
The majority of dogs and cats love staying at Greendale Farm, but a handful may find the adjustment difficult to cope with for a couple of days, and display stress related behaviours . Our staff have a huge amount of experience between them and because our main concern is the welfare of the pets in our care, we will do everything in our power to make their stay as comfortable as possible and to look after them until your return.
